Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting Moment

It is nice to be entering the Weekly Photo Challenge again, the theme of which is Fleeting Moment.

There have been many fleeting moments that, fleeting as is their nature, are never caught on camera. But that just makes the memory all the more precious in your mind.

So, for my entry to this weeks challenge, I picked out a recent walk around Windsor Great Park. It was 19th June, and it was the opening day of Ascot races.

As is tradition in my town, the Queen and other members of the royal family travel down the Long Walk and around Windsor Great Park, where they then leave their horse drawn carriages and instead get in cars to take them the rest of the way to the Ascot Racecourse.

In this first picture, you can see the royal family approaching in their carriages.

In this picture, the carriages are passing by – the first one you see is most likely the one in which the Queen is sat! But, the windows are blacked out, and so we can’t know for sure!

And in this final picture, they have all passed, and that amazing fleeting moment is over.

Until next time …
