The Weekly Photo Challenge for this week is grand.
It seems an age since my dream trip to Helsinki, Finland, but in fact, it was only 4 months ago! I am now already planning to conquer the next Nordic country on my list – Norway – in summer 2014. Exciting! Anyway, my entry for this week is Uspenski Cathedral, a gorgeous and gigantic orthodox cathedral, set on a hill with an amazing view of Helsinki …
Until next time …

Your photos are wonderful. I am happy that You visited Helsinki. Helsinki is capital of Finland, but the real Finland, unknown to those who visit Helsinki, is outside it. Here are reasons to visit outside Helsinki:
Arctic Circle in winter
World’s Biggest Snow Castle
Happy travel!
Thank you for your comment! Of course, we only had 3 days for the visit, so we couldn’t leave Helsinki. My plan is to one day return for much longer, and travel all around Finland – yours is a truly beautiful country!
